Rooted in the mission of the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc., the Women’s Power 50 reflects a deep commitment to advancing economic opportunity, leadership, and equity. These honorees exemplify resilience, excellence, and purpose, using their platforms to create pathways for growth, representation, and lasting change in their communities and across the globe.
Each year, the Power 50 Women’s Luncheon serves as a national platform to spotlight these trailblazers, bringing together leaders, partners, and allies to celebrate achievement, share stories, and inspire the next generation of women leaders.

Cheryl Boone Isaacs
ABOUT CHERYL
A Living Vanguard of Excellence
Cheryl Boone Isaacs is a trailblazing leader in the entertainment industry, celebrated for her transformative impact on film marketing, public relations, and cultural leadership. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, she earned her degree in political science from Whittier College in 1971 and began her career in publicity at Columbia Pictures.
She later made history as the first African American woman to lead a major studio’s marketing and distribution operation at New Line Cinema. Over more than two decades, Isaacs served on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and was elected its president in 2013, becoming the first African American to hold the role.
In academia, she continues to shape the future of storytelling as Founding Director and Professor of Practice at the Sidney Poitier New American Film School at Arizona State University.
Her visionary leadership has expanded access, representation, and opportunity within the global film community. Isaacs’ distinguished career has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Trailblazer Award from Essence Magazine and her induction into the Hall of Fame of the NAACP.
Widely regarded as a living vanguard of excellence, she remains a powerful force shaping the future of entertainment and culture.
